Thermal spraying is the process of injecting material (powder, wire) into a flame jet of high temperature and velocity and propelling it, in droplet or particulate form, in a stream of gas or air onto a substrate, where the particles flatten, bond and solidify to produce a coating.
Main applications include the development of coatings for the protection of industrial and mechanical components against wear, corrosion or high temperature attack and the dimensional restoration of worn mechanical components.
PyroGenesis is successfully applying thermal spray coatings in a wide range of applications, such as:
- Aerospace industry
